By Hired Car: A shared taxi (known as a "Black Car," 黑车 in Chinese) can easily be arranged for a journey from Chengde to Beijing. These cars can be found in front of Chengde Mansion (hotel) on Chezhan Lu, just 500 meters northwest of the train station on the opposite side of the street. The car is shared by 4 passengers and the price is usually around 150 RMB/person. The trip takes about 2-3 hours.
